I have been a SCI member for many years. Over the last year, I have been shopping for a new gun safe. Although I had looked at safes from all of the major manufacturers, none of them had quite what I was looking for -- until I discovered Pendleton Safes.
I met Bruce Pendleton at the SCI Convention in Las Vegas last February. Although I had read about the Pendleton safes and their revolving firearms racks, I had never actually seen one. The SCI Convention was a great opportunity to look at Bruce's safes and see exactly what they had to offer. As it turned out, a Pendleton Safe is just exactly what I needed and I ordered one on the spot.
I recently took delivery of a Pendleton "Bishop" model safe. It is everything I had hoped for and more. Finally, I am not only able to store my firearms securely, but I am able to access them with ease. No longer do I have to move 2 or 3 rifles in order to get the one I want to use. Workmanship on the safe is 5-star, as confirmed by the local locksmith and safe dealer who installed the safe.
More importantly, Bruce Pendleton is a real gentleman and an extremely hard-working and honest businessman. He always answered all of my questions and expeditiously addressed any concerns I may have had. Because of the physical layout of my house, moving the safe to its final location (i.e., across a lawn, down steps, through narrow doorways, etc.) was not an easy project. Several safe "installers" said it was impossible. However, Bruce located a fantastic safe installer in my local area (Jeff Buezkowski, R.J. Lock & Security, Gaithersburg, MD) and assisted in coordinating the delivery and installation. The whole project was completed with no problems. And this is due to the fact that Bruce is the kind of guy who goes the extra mile for his customers. He provides first-class service.
SCI will be very lucky to have Bruce Pendleton and Pendleton Safes as an exhibitor at its next convention.
